Rinatrix is a Serpent which with envenoming poysoneth ye water, so that into what cleare Fountaine or River he swimmeth, he infecteth it.
Diascorides sayth, that this roote being stamped to poulder, and being bespiced or bestrewed upon their meate, as flesh, and such other things wherwith they live, destroyeth and killeth the Panther, the Libard, the Wolfe, and all other beastes, those especially which live by ravening, and that whilst their meate so ordred is in their mouth.
